Come attend a conference on the bottlenose dolphins of Rangiroa!

Between August and December 2020, in partnership with the Relais de Joséphine, the association "Dauphins de Rangiroa" (DDR) led about twenty public conferences aimed at sharing its knowledge about the dolphins of Tiputa.

As part of her doctoral thesis, Pamela Carzon also taught a two-hour course for Master 2 students entitled "Dolphins and wildlife tourism" and prepared in partnership with the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE) and the Centre de Recherches Insulaires et Observatoire de l’Environnement (CRIOBE) of Moorea.

Starting in February 2021, the DDR association organizes every Sunday at the Relais de Joséphine from 5:00 PM a free conference aimed at sharing our long-term work on the bottlenose dolphin community of Tiputa. Through these presentations, our objective is also to answer a number of questions asked by people who have or have not had the chance to cross paths with the dolphins. We address various themes ranging from the ecology to the ethology of bottlenose dolphins, including a presentation of the "most famous" individuals of Tiputa and the protection measures for these cetaceans in Polynesian waters.

We welcome a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 people per conference to allow richer and more personalized exchanges!
